HEY, THERE!
I’m Emma Herrmann, a multidisciplinary artist currently working in Philadelphia.
My work explores different building processes while examining the interactions between the body, objects and spaces. I work in sculpture and installation to create objects that juxtapose space and depth, hard and soft and different perceptions of fragility.
In 2019 I received a Master’s Degree in Digital Fabrication & Media from the European Institute of Design (IED) in Madrid, Spain. I received my BFA in Fine Arts, from Moore College of Art & Design in 2018.

INTERACTIVE INFLATABLE INSTALLATION!
I'm currently working on an installation prototype. Inside the inflatable is a pressure sensor that detects when the inflatable is hugged. When the hug changes the pressure, a strip of NeoPixel lights are activated. The bigger the hug, the more lights are activated and the color changes!
